against theft and damage as standard. However, the rental company on site does
use a deductible in case something happens. This deductible is ‘blocked’ on
your credit card in the form of a deposit, so that the car rental company can
withhold any damage. If nothing happens, the entire amount is released again
and you pay nothing.
You can insure or redeem the excess at HolidayCars or you can insure yourself
with the car rental company. Note that the car rental companies overprice their
